Bleeding hearts (Lamprocapnos spectabilis) are pink or white flowers in the poppy family. Their common name comes from their heart-shaped flower with what looks like a drop below the heart. These plants need at least some shade - I photographed these in full shade and underexposed to get the very dark background to show them off against.
