Description
The intricately carved ceiling of Fourth Presbyterian church in Chicago, Illinois, is but one impressive feature of this beautiful building. It was built in the Gothic Revival style in 1912 to replace an earlier building that dated from 1874; the church was actually founded in 1871 and its first building was destroyed in the Great Chicago Fire. The architect of the current structure was Ralph Adams Cram.
