Description
The strong, bright petiole (leafstalk) of an autumn leaf, curving toward the center of a grouping of dried leaves, draws the eye and anchors this natural abstract. The leaves came from an endless summer or mophead hydrangea (Hydrangea macrophylla) long after the plant had ceased blooming for the season.
This close-up stands alone well, but I have two similar images that work well with it, either in a diptych or triptych fashion. If you like the idea of three prints or canvases, consider this one for use in the center. I also created a single image triptych with digital borders; look for "Networks" in my portfolio. Additionally, all four can be seen in my "Leaves" gallery.
