Description
This is a view of the Stockman House, a home in Mason City, Iowa, designed and built by the famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright in 1908. The architectural style is a modification of Wright's Prairie Style, and the house is a variation of his "Fireproof House". The building was originally located a few blocks closer to the center of town but was moved in the late 1880's to avoid demolition. It is now owned by the River City Society for Historic Preservation and has been restored, both inside and outside. The home is open to the public for tours several days of the week.
