Description
The fresh yellow green of new spring leaves on the drooping branches of a weeping willow contrast with the blue of the water beneath them. Rippling reflections give this natural abstract an Impressionistic feel that has been enhanced in the processing.
The weeping willow (Salix babylonica) loves water. Its roots are intertwined, aggressive, and water loving. This means that the tree should not be planted near sewer or water lines as the roots can be invasive; however, it also means that the tree can be very useful for soil erosion control and stream bank stabilization.
