This interesting looking creature is a Vietnamese mossy frog, also known simply as a mossy frog or a Tonkin bug-eyed frog. It is a tree frog and its habitat is the evergreen rain forests and cliffs of northern Vietnam where it favors submerging itself in water or clinging to the walls of crevices in the rocks. As you can see, the spines and rounded projections (tubercules) on its body combined with its green and brown coloring make for perfect camouflage.
