This view of the mountains that Albuquerque locals call simply 'The Sandias' includes one of the fields in the Los Poblanos Open Space in the foreground. The middle is defined by trees and a single, large residence on the edge of the public spaces. In 1995 the city bought a large area of what was formerly called Anderson Fields and renamed it Los Poblanos Fields Open Space. The land now has many uses including community gardens, organic croplands, wildlife habitat, and walking and cycling trails along the irrigation ditches or acequias.
I use my camera to explore the world around me and as a basis for creative expression. Because I live in Nebraska, I have a fondness for rural scenes that will be evident as you explore my images, but I enjoy traveling and have many other interests as well. I hope you enjoy your visit.
