Spring Canvas Print

I found this pretty, natural looking spring scene on a visit to the beautiful and extensive Chicago Botanic Garden. Although I have given it a painted look to tame the background, I did not substantially change the scene and it was the single, brilliantly colored red tulip blooming among the quieter blue flowers of the glory-of-the-snow (Chionodoxa lucilae) that caught my eye as I suspect it will catch yours. Bulb flowers such as these have only a few days of glory each year as they go into dormancy once they have finished blooming.
