Description
Built in 1900, this building on 10th Street in Omaha's Old Market district is 122 years old. It was constructed as a private residence with two levels, and apparently still serves as a home. The total size of the living area is over 7,500 square feet, and there is also an enclosed courtyard. Built of brick, the foundation is from concrete. The carved creatures that flank the barred and gated entrance are gryphons, legendary creatures with the body of a lion and head and wings of an eagle.
I also have this image in color with the same title (minus the "Black and White") in my Omaha collection.
