Description
The birdwing butterfly is quite noticeable for its large size and, as the name suggests, the way it almost flaps its wings like a bird when it flies. In addition, the male southern birdwing, seen here resting momentarily on a leaf, is wonderfully colorful. These insects are native to southeast Asia.
