Description
Schramm Park is a state recreation area near Gretna, Nebraska. It is best known for its aquarium and fish hatchery. The aquarium features fresh water fish, reptiles, and amphibians found in and around waterways in Nebraska. The hatchery includes a number of small trout ponds, one of which is seen here.
I visited on a beautiful, late October day and was surprised to find canoes on the bank of one of the pools; apparently they are used for classes in canoeing or for group canoe float trips on the Platte River, accessible from the park.
