Dragonfly on White Tank Top

This small, slender dragonfly (Ordonata) landed on an upright plant near a little stream and a pond. The insect has two pairs of transparent wings, the hindwing being broader than the forewing, and a long body. Its head is dominated by large, multifaceted eyes. I was able to photograph this particular specimen from both sides. Here the background was a sidewalk in full sun; when I processed the image I was able to lighten and brighten it from pale gray to white.

I use my camera to explore the world around me and as a basis for creative expression.
