I call this image "Equine Trio" because I'm not sure whether these farm animals are horses, mules, or some of each. But they were gentle enough, agreeably curious, and standing at the back of a small pasture that made for a lovely background. I found them at The Homeplace, a working farm and living history museum based on a typical 1850's western Tennessee farm. The farm and Land between the Lakes National Recreation Area where it is located are managed by the United States Forest Service.
