This old 1957 Transtar 2-ton flatbed Studebaker truck looks as if it was used for hauling produce. It has a stake bed, so called because the stakes rising from the sides enabled the owner to build sides and create whatever type of bed he needed (for produce, livestock, heavy equipment, etc.). This particular truck is parked between Carrizozo and Tularosa in the northern Chihuahuan Desert of New Mexico. The Sacramento Mountains are in the distance.

I use my camera to explore the world around me and as a basis for creative expression. Because I live in Nebraska, I have a fondness for rural scenes that will be evident as you explore my images, but I enjoy traveling and have many other interests as well. I hope you enjoy your visit.
