Description
This is a detail of the side of what is known in the Midwest as a quilt barn, a barn with a quilt block pattern on it. In this case the pattern is called "Flock of Geese" and the barn, the Lehman barn, is located near Lytton in Sac County, Iowa. Most quilt blocks that I have seen are mounted on the front of the barn above the main door. This one is fitted into a gable on the side of the barn with what was to me an artistically pleasing result.
