Description
In the first phase of Omaha, Nebraska's RiverFront development, the Gene Leahy mall near the Old Market was closed for a complete make-over in 2019; it was only re-opened in the mid-summer of 2022. This downtown park, bounded by Douglas and Farnam streets on the north and south and stretching from 8th to 13 streets east to west, is a multi-use green space that includes walking paths, fountains, a generous number of benches and other seating options, playgrounds, a performance pavilion, and a large reflecting pool. In the background of this view are, from right to left, the Omaha World Herald building, the First national Bank tower (tallest), the Woodmen Tower (center, back), and the Central Park Plaza complex (on angles and nearly in center of photo).
I also have this image in color in my Omaha collection.
