Description
The free standing grand stairway of the governor's mansion in Jefferson City, Missouri, is but one outstanding feature of this beautiful interior. The residence was built in 1871 in a Neo-Renaissance style. The architect was George Ingham, Barnett. The elegant curving bannisters are of carved black walnut. See here framed by two columns, the great hall makes an imposing statement.
