Description
The Omaha Building at 1650 Farnam Street in Omaha, Nebraska was constructed in 1888-89 for the New York Life Insurance. In 1906 the building was purchased by and renamed the Omaha National Bank Building. The bank moved out in the early 1970’s but a few years later when the building was scheduled for demolition, the Robert Kutak law firm purchased and rehabilitated it for their offices. Some thirty years later, in 2006-07, they renovated it once again. At that time, the HVAC system, parts of the elevator system, the plumbing and the lighting were updated. This row of semi-flush mount ceiling fixtures is on the first floor.
