Description
The moonflower or angel's trumpet is a beautiful flower, really quite romantic as it blooms at night and, unless the day is quite overcast and dark as was the case here just after an early morning rain, the blossoms close in the morning light. The clarity of the droplets adds interest to the graceful but simple shape of the flower. Many parts of the plant are toxic; the seeds are especially poisonous. Other plants also bear the name "moonflower"; this one is a member of the Datura species.
