Description
Sometimes you find the most interest in a building up high, near the roof. This is a collection of cornices and other architectural ornamentation from some buildings in downtown Papillion, Nebraska. Papillion is a town of about 20,000 in the Omaha metro area. This montage has five parts, separated by solid turquoise bands. The almost white decoration in the middle is from what is now the Papillion City Hall though the building was once the Sarpy County Courthouse. Just below that is a row of orange bricks from the Bell Building; originally built for Fred Bell's drug store, the edifice held dances, basketball games and even roller skating on the second floor.
