Tulips (genus Tulipa) are bulb plants in the lily family, popular in gardens as well as for use in floral bouquets. From the Middle East they were imported to the Western world in the mid 1500’s where the French and Dutch embraced the pretty blooms and the rest, as they say, is history. They are now found in spring gardens everywhere.

I use my camera to explore the world around me and as a basis for creative expression. Because I live in Nebraska, I have a fondness for rural scenes that will be evident as you explore my images, but I enjoy traveling and have many other interests as well. I hope you enjoy your visit.
