This is the Skylight room, a spacious public sitting area on the main floor of the Historic Park Inn in Mason City, Iowa. The view is from the balcony or mezzanine where there is an additional smaller sitting area called the Ladies' Parlor. A hotel guest can be seen enjoying his morning newspaper in this handsomely and comfortably furnished space. The hotel was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and has been fully restored; the decor and furnishings are appropriate to 1910.
