Description
The elaborate Rose Theater, now a children's theatre, sits at the corner of 20th and Farnam Streets in Omaha, Nebraska. Constructed as a grand movie palace called the Riviera in 1926 and later renamed the Astro, the building was saved from demolition in 1981 by Rose Blumkin. After about ten years of research into possible uses for the unusual building, it was renovated and given to the Emmy Gifford Children's Theater.
