Description
The old train station in David City, Nebraska, is a long and narrow brick and stucco building. It was built in 1915 to replace the previous station which was reportedly inadequately heated in winter and in poor repair. Unfortunately, the depot was constructed too late - by the time it was built, area residents had turned to automobiles as their preferred way to get to Lincoln and beyond. The building now belongs to the Butler County Historical Society and is used as a museum.
