Description
This cute frog is a waxy monkey tree frog (Phyllomedusa sauvagii), also known as a painted-bellied tree frog. It is indigenous to Central and South America and well adapted to life in the trees, even laying its eggs on leaves suspended over water so the tadpoles can drop into the stream when they hatch. These frogs are nocturnal; they spend the day sleeping and hunt insects to eat at night. They love crickets.
