The pretty white-winged dove, Zenaida asiatica, is native to the desert Southwest of the United States. It is very common in Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas and increasingly common in other states. They build nests of sticks and this one is nesting in the hollowed out center of a dead cactus plant.
