Description
This beautiful whitelined sphinx moth, also known as a hawk-moth, is wonderful to behold as it dips its long proboscis deep into the calyx of flowers to sip their nectar. The incredibly fast moving wings and hovering behavior of this insect have led to its also being called a hummingbird moth and even to its being mistaken for the bird.
