Description
A honeyvine milkweed plant winding its way through Matrona sedum plays host to multitudes of yellow aphids. The insects are, more precisely, oleander aphids, commonly found on oleander, butterfly weed and milkweed. The vine is Cynanchum laeve, a vining perennial weed also known as bluevine or climbing milkweed. The plant with the pretty pink flowers and magenta stems supporting the vine is Matrona sedum, a drought tolerant perennial common in the Midwest.
