This vertical autumn landscape is set in the unique Loess Hills area of western Iowa. Here a mowed path winds around a bluff touched by the late afternoon sun. The trees have lost most their leaves; those that remain are gold and match the colors of the dried grasses at their base. A texture applied to the image gives it a painted look.

I use my camera to explore the world around me and as a basis for creative expression. Because I live in Nebraska, I have a fondness for rural scenes that will be evident as you explore my images, but I enjoy traveling and have many other interests as well. I hope you enjoy your visit.
