Description
Cedar waxwings (Bombycilla cedrorum) love berries and fruits of all kinds. This one is perched on a branch of a juniper tree - really more of a very large shrub. You can see the shaggy bark of the trunk and the distinctive needles of this conifer . . . but not the berries (actually its cones) that the bird favors. The flock has already stripped this section of the bush of all its fruit.
