In the middle of winter, a single tree stands on a small island in Walnut Creek Lake in Sarpy County, Nebraska. A bench presents an invitation to sit and relax awhile. In this season, the man made lake is frozen though the day has been warm enough for the ice to melt a bit on the surface. This recreation area is administered by the city of Papillion and is popular with joggers, walkers, bikers, fishermen, picknickers - basically anyone interested in getting out and enjoying the outdoors.

I use my camera to explore the world around me and as a basis for creative expression.
