In this vintage interior a round end table is flanked by matching Mission style sofas or loveseats - also called a settle. On the table are a lamp and a black, old-fashioned, rotary dial, corded telephone. I took this photo in a public sitting area in the Historic Park Inn in Mason City, Iowa. The hotel, built in the early 20th century, was designed by the well-known architect Frank Lloyd Wright during his so-called Prairie School days. It has been completely restored and the furnishings are appropriate to the style and the period.
I use my camera to explore the world around me and as a basis for creative expression. Because I live in Nebraska, I have a fondness for rural scenes that will be evident as you explore my images, but I enjoy traveling and have many other interests as well. I hope you enjoy your visit.
