This old lifeboat which dates from about the mid 1970's is on display outside the Maritime Museum in Marquette, Michigan; it is currently being restored by the museum. The red, one-story, stone structure behind it, formerly the City Waterworks building, is a great backdrop for the boat. A small, brightly painted, yellow storage shed and green grass add shapes, textural variety, and blocks of color to the composition. The image has a lightly painted look, best appreciated by using the close-up preview tool provided by this site.
