The cheerful flowers, gay colors, and big grin on this skull that serves as the sign for a gift shop keep the motif from being at all macabre. If you live in the Southwest (found this in the Nob Hill district of Albuquerque) or have ever celebrated the Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos) as in the Mexican culture - or even if neither of these are true for you - you will surely be intrigued by this design and perhaps enticed to enter the store and look around.
