This small, twisted tree grows beside an adobe wall in a small courtyard in Old Town, Albuquerque. The textures of the wall, the carved wooden gate, and the pattern of the brick walkway all contribute to the Southwestern feel of this scene. The narrow vertical crop emphasizes the lines of the tree. I have given the photo a painterly look in post processing.
