Description
Sandhill cranes are migratory birds that winter in the Southwest and in northern Mexico. These birds are taking an early March break in the cornfields along the Platte River in central Nebraska on their way to their summer breeding grounds in Canada. I was especially taken by the lines of the furrows and rows of cut corn.
