Description
A brown pelican stands on a pier post, alternately scouting for fish and preening. I took the photo at Fisherman's Wharf in Punta Gorda, Florida, where these interesting birds are so used to people that they don't take flight when you draw near. I used a texture from Daily Textures for the background and then went for a painted look on top of that.
