Description
This pair of winged figures clearly symbolizes love; the angels face one another on either side of a heart, the latch on a gate in a wrought iron fence. The fence is in front of an old abandoned building in Jerome, Arizona. The doors of the building are now covered with rusted metal - the brown on the sides in the background. The trim around the doors and windows of the white house is painted pink. The fence is not original to the house, which dates from the early 20th century; from 1922-28 it was the Cuban Queen bordello and billiard parlor. I suspect that whoever had the fence and gates designed (2012?) wanted to recall this period of the building's history.
