Description
This pipe organ, the larger of two, is in Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago, Illinois. Located in the west end gallery of the nave, the 71-stop instrument was constructed by a firm in the Netherlands. The two side aisles, flanked by columns and pointed arches in the Gothic Revival style, frame this view down the center of the nave to the narthex (lobby or entrance) area.
This seat of the Archdiocese of Chicago is situated at 735 N. State Street in the neighborhood known as the Near North Side of that city..
I have also uploaded the same view but in black and white ( Holy Name Cathedral - Chicago - West End - BW).
