Description
Robert Frost would have felt a poem coming on - something like "two roads diverged . . . " But here the scene is in the Loess Hills bluffs, not a snowy woods; and the dirt roads clearly vary in their appeal. The one on the left, 138th Trail, is graded and graveled regularly; Fulton Avenue, on the other hand, is unmaintained and entry is marked with a sign saying, basically, take at your own risk. Both cut through the loess (relatively loose sediment, very porous, created by wind-blown dust) bluffs the area is known for.
