The beautiful tree nymph butterfly, also known as a rice paper or paper kite butterfly (Idea leuconoe), has translucent white wings with black spots. Photographed against the light with the exposure adjusted for the insect and presented in monochrome, it stands out as well as if it was brightly colored.
