Description
The robins (Turdus migratorius), a common bird in the Midwest, even in winter, are migrating through in great numbers just now. I was out for a late afternoon walk (it's mid February) and passed by some ornamental crabapple trees in a neighborhood park just as a flock was feasting on them. The sight was enchanting, but no less so than the sound or these cheerful songbirds. Spring is coming and, though it was quite chilly, I was warmed by the experience.
The background here was quite plain, an out of focus, gold-colored residence, so I added a texture overlay.
