Description
This imposing looking creature is a "Fantasy" horned frog, a hybrid cross between the Chacoan and the Amazonian horned frog, both South American amphibians (Ceratophrys). While I found the animal fascinating to look at due to what I considered its "so ugly it's cute" appearance, it isn't particularly interesting to watch as it just sits there and waits for something good to eat to come by :) Apparently it pretty much spends its life as you see it here - though often burrowed into moss or leaf litter.
